Halloween Renamed National Racism Day

Halloween

This is their idea of fun.

From today, Halloween will be known as National Racism Day in recognition of the growing number of race-based costumes and make-up worn by white people.

Marcia Glennings, Head of the National Halloween Committee said that the name change and rebranding is needed to provide additional opportunities for shops and online stores to sell a wider variety of racist products to target the ‘right’ demographic.

Glennings said: “Let’s face it, there’s always good money to be made with racism and racist costumes are all the rage in certain more conservative parts of the country.

“Why make your own poorly-constructed ghetto outfit when you can buy authentic hood gear delivered straight to your door. White supremacy has never been more lucrative and it’s all good clean fun. We don’t mean any offense.”

Black people have responded to the rise in racist costumes by wearing costumes of their own including Black Panther, Zulu warrior and Candyman costumes.

Black costume wearer Marcus Roberts said: “When we were kids we used to dress up in skeleton and devil costumes and it was fun for all the family.

“Now I don’t let my kids out on this day as the streets are usually filled with drunk white folks wearing robes and carrying ropes. History tells me nothing good can come of this so my kids will sit this one out.

“I, on the other hand, will be dressed up tonight as Nat Turner while leading a mob of over 100 men with guns and axes and machetes. We’ll specifically be looking for some of these college ‘ghetto’ parties to attend.

“But don’t worry, it’s all good clean fun and we don’t mean any offense.”
