Blacks Not Killing Blacks Year Announced

STOP THE VIOLENCE!

It was announced yesterday that when next year’s Black History Month ends a new global initiative organized by black community leaders aimed at stopping black people from killing other black people begins.

Blacks Not Killing Blacks Year begins on 1st March 2015 and runs right through till 29th February 2016. The initiative will be held annually and will run forever.

Chairwoman of the Blacks Not Killing Blacks Year committee Anna Sanderson introduced the initiative during a press conference where barely any mainstream press turned up.

Ms Sanderson said: “Given all the shit we black people the world over have to deal with like police brutality, vigilante murders, housing segregation, underfunded schools, poverty, vast unemployment, mass incarceration, stress, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and the myriad forms of racism and discrimination we’re confronted with everyday, I believe not killing each other is necessary if we are to try and tackle these issues.

“I understand that some of these things contribute to us killing each other but enough is enough, and we must stop killing ourselves as there are plenty of non-blacks lining up to do the job for us.”

The chairwoman went on to suggest that if a black person wants to kill another black person, they should consider what the great Maya Angelou, Martin Luther King or Malcolm X do in the same situation. It is doubtful that they could find a good enough reason to kill another black person apart from in self-defense.

Ms Sanderson continued: “Let’s not waste time waiting for others to help us because we’ll be waiting a really long time. Not killing each other delivers lasting benefits like not being dead, living a long and productive life and most of all, not leaving behind friends and relatives grieving because we were killed too soon.”

Despite Anna Sanderson’s wise words there are some who don’t share the chairwoman’s sentiments. Republican Senator Grom Brummond said: “I speak for most of the Republican party and the police when I say I hope this initiative is a complete and utter failure. Besides that, I wish you the best of luck.”

Other initiatives launched by Ms Sanderson include ‘Not Referring To Black Women Insultingly In Music And Comedy Year’ which will run in parallel with ‘Stop Waiting For Whites To Give A Damn About Us Year’.
